South African Workers Protest Management Violence at Unilever Khanewal

Despite management efforts to prevent union action, more than 70 members of CEPPWAWU, an affiliate of the International Federation of Chemical, Energy, Mine and General Workers' Unions (ICEM) demonstrated outside the Unilever Maydon Whaft plant in Durban to demand a halt to management violence against the Khanewal workers. Wth this public action, the Unilever Durban workers joined the international campaign against disposable jobs at Lipton Pakistan.
