Workers squat plant to stop dismissal plans in Honduras

Feb. 10, members of the Union of the Beverage Industry and Allied Workers (STIBYS) in Honduras occupied the Hondureña Brewery in San Pedro Sula, a SAB Miller subsidiary holding the Coca-Cola license for Honduras. The measure responds to the threat of the company to fire 17 workers from distribution, which now has been extended to 300 operators of the sales department.
