Belgium: Strike of Coca-Cola workers ended with an agreement

Following 3 days of action that took place from December 18 to 20, 2019 to protest the latest Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) restructuring plan in Belgium, IUF affiliates have reached an agreement ending the strike. Please see below the details of this agreement:

- CCEP Belgium will pay all volunteer workers who started their work on December 18, 2019 for their normal working hours.

- No employee will be occupied during the weekend of December 21 and 22, 2019 to make deliveries to customers.

- Until the next social consultation, and this at the latest on January 15, 2020, overtime in the logistics and production department will be avoided.

- Conventional drivers, as well as the Conventional Team leader of Hasselt and Heppignies who will be employed on another site not managed by CCEP may exceptionally appeal to the social plan as part of the announced reorganization.

- The Full Service Team leaders from Hasselt and Heppignies will be discussed during negotiations on VOTF.
This agreement underlined the joint commitment of management and unions to maintain dialogue and peace.

The parties are committed to continue the dialogue and reach a social plan which can give clarity to all the workers concerned with the restructuring plan.
