Coca-Cola brings the taste of zero rights to the 2018 Winter Olympics!


Coca-Cola is a major sponsor of this year's Winter Olympics, a huge opportunity for the world's largest beverage company to promote its brands, its images and its sales. Since March 2015 Coke's exclusive bottler for Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, Coca-Cola Amatil ("The power behind our region's favorite brands"), has been busy bashing rights. IUF Caribbean regional committee in support of independent unions at Coca-Cola Amatil


IUF affiliates in Caribbean region met for the regional Committee meeting on January 18 and 19 and discussed union and workers' rights issues in their countries. Affiliates from Antigua, Bermuda, Grenada, Barbados, Jamaica and Guyana showed their support for the IUF's "Zero Rights" campaign at Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia.

Australia: United Voice media release highlights the hypocrisy of Coca-Cola Amatil

IUF-affiliated United Voice in Australia released a media statement to draw attention to the hypocrisy of The Coca-Cola Company and its bottler Coca-Cola Amatil who promote their brand with "feel good" marketing stunts, whilst at the same time violating the human rights of their Indonesian workers to organise and form free trade unions.
