Coca-Cola investing EUR 26 Mln. in Irish production of freestyle dispenser

Coca-Cola will be investing EUR 26 million in in its Ballina Beverages facility in Ireland in order to produce Coca-Cola Freestyle machines.

The touchscreen Freestyle soda fountains can dispense over 100 Coca-Cola beverages, including combinations which are unavailable elsewhere. According to the Irish Times, although 40,000 units exist across America, this will be the first time the devices will be produced outside the US, and will help expand the device into Europe.

The Ballina Beverage site produces concentrates, beverage bases and syrups exported to Coca-Cola producers across Europe and beyond. The facility is believed to employ over 400 people, and the expansion into production of the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines is expected to add 25 posts to the operations.
