US: Coca-Cola Bottling Company Acquires Distribution Territories and Manufacturing Facilities

Coca-Cola Bottling Company announced on October 2, 2017 that it entered into and completed transactions with The Coca-Cola Company to exchange distribution territory previously served by the Company in parts of southern Alabama, southwestern Georgia, southeastern Mississippi, northwestern Florida and in and around Somerset, Kentucky and a manufacturing facility in Mobile, Alabama previously owned by the Company for distribution territory previously served by Coca-Cola Refreshments USA(CCR), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company, in parts of Arkansas and two manufacturing facilities previously owned by CCR in Memphis, Tennessee and West Memphis, Arkansas, and to acquire additional distribution territory previously served by CCR in and around Memphis, Tennessee, including in portions of northwestern Mississippi and eastern Arkansas.

Teamsters Canada striking Coca-Cola workers reach agreement

Teamsters Union members employed by Coca-Cola in B.C. ratified a new collective agreement on Thursday, August 10 2017 ending a job action which began on July 24.

All members are expected to be back on the job by Monday August 14.

North American Bottler expands distribution territory

Coca-Cola Bottling Co Consolidated (CCBCC), an independent Coca-Cola bottler in the United States, has recently agreed to take on more distribution territory.

Since May 2014, CCBCC has taken on territory in 11 states and also purchased manufacturing facilities in Maryland, Ohio and Virginia.

USA: Reyes Holdings to Acquire Six Midwest Coca-Cola Production Facilities

Reyes Holdings announced that its Chicago-area Coca-Cola distributor, Great Lakes Coca-Cola Distribution, has entered into a letter of intent with The Coca-Cola Company to acquire six production facilities in Alsip and Niles, Ill.; Detroit and Grand Rapids, Mich.; Eagan, Minn.; and Milwaukee, Wisc.

Chicago Teamsters Approve Three-Year Agreement Including Management-Level Health Care Benefits, Annual Raises and Retroactivity

Teamsters Local 727 members voted by a 17-to-1 margin on Sunday, Jan. 10, to overwhelmingly ratify a new three-year contract with Coca-Cola Refreshments in Niles and Alsip, Ill. The agreement provides annual wage increases, retroactivity and improved health and welfare benefits for 319 Coca-Cola production and warehouse workers and transport drivers.

Strike Ends as Chicago Teamsters Reach Tentative Agreement with Coca-Cola
