Support Coca-Cola Pakistan workers to resist escalating company attacks!

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

IUF members in Pakistan started to launch protest actions in March over a failure to reach an agreement on restructuring. In retaliation Coca-Cola's Turkish Bottler operating in Pakistan-Coca-Cola Içecek (CCI) escalated the attack on unions by terminating the union president, Brother Nasrullah, at Lahore. On March 28 management also increased harassment of union members by stopping them from attending Friday prayers.

Pakistan: amid hardship and political turmoil a new union is born

A newly formed union at the Coca-Cola distribution centre in Peshawar, northern Pakistan, has won legal recognition and is the 9th union in the Coca-Cola system in Pakistan.

With genuine, independent unions in all 6 bottling plants and 3 distribution centres Coca-Cola Pakistan is nearly 100% unionized.
