According to Miroslaw Nowicki, president of the Food Workers Secretariat of NSZZ Solidarnosc, the accused supervisor in the sexual harassment case at the Frito-Lay (PepsiCo) snack food plant near Warsaw (background) has been arrested. The sexual harassment charges brought by three female employees are still being legally investigated. The government labour inspectorate has inspected the plant at Grodzisk Mazowiecki and recorded various violations concerning the recording and payment of working hours, provision of work breaks and lack of proper training in work safety.

Brother Nowicki asked us to thank you all those who have already sent protest messages for their solidarity. However the eight dismissed employees have not been reinstated to their jobs, and further protest messages to PepsiCo and to the Polish government are still urgently requested.
