New Death Threats in Colombia

The IUF has joined with other international union organizations in calling on the Colombian government to take strong action in response to new death threats against trade union and political leaders. Recently several Colombian union leaders and members of the Polo Democr�tico Alternativo (PDA) have been threatened by paramilitary groups. The IUF, in a letter to Colombian President Alvaro Uribe , has demanded that the government immediately take all possible measures to protect trade union leaders and members of the PDA.
