US: Teamsters Demand Health Care Protections for Coke Employees

Hundreds of Coke employees at production facilities in Bellevue, Fife,
Tacoma and Marysville raised informational pickets early on August 11 to call on Coke to maintain decent health care protections for its
employees and Coke retirees before the company provokes a strike.

Further protest action is planned for August 21. 

Panama: New collective agreement limits casualisation

In a difficult situation for Panama in general, the union of Coca-Cola workers, SITRAFCOREBGASCELIS, has been able to sign a new collective agreement making important progress.

Coca-Cola Nicaragua: New Collective Agreement

SUT - INARSA, the trade union at Coca-cola FEMSA in Nicaragua, has achieved important economic progress and employment stability, signing a new CBA with the company.The agreement contains also important regulations on trade union recognition and dispute resolutions through a bipartite commission.

The agreement was signed after two weeks of intense negotiations.

Another new union organized in Coca-Cola Pakistan, this time in Faislabad

Just two weeks after the victory in Coca-Cola Multan, workers at Coca-Cola Pakistan's Faislabad plant had cause to celebrate yet again today, as their union was officially registered.

"All our employees are free to become or remain members of the Teamsters Local 728, or any other labor organization"

Following the settlement concerning unfair labour practices at its Marietta plant, Coca-Cola Enterprises has posted a notice on information boards in its Marietta, College Park and Atlanta West facilities, laying out in detail how the company intends to not interfere with its employees labour rights.

Comprehensive Agreement Ends Long, Bitter Conflict at Coca-Cola Pakistan

An agreement negotiated between the IUF, the Atlanta, USA-based The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) and Coca-Cola Icecek (CCI, Coca-Cola's Turkey-based bottler for the Middle East, Pakistan and Central Asia), has successfully resolved a long and bitter conflict over employment and trade union rights at Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan (CCBPL). CCBPL is jointly owned by TCCC and CCI.
