STOP Nespressure: Moscow unions stand up for the rights of Nestle workers in Indonesia and Pakistan

Members of the Agro-Industrial Workers’ Union and the Confederation of Labour of Russia held a demonstration in front of the Nespresso boutique in the center of Moscow to demand a halt of all violations of the workers’ rights in Indonesia and Pakistan.

Whilst the boutique customers were reading leaflets distributed by union members and took photos of the picket line, Nestle managers tried to cover the fact that something was wrong. Thus, demonstrators were confronted by boutique security that aggressively tried to make them move away from the shop windows and suggested they should hold the demonstration in the park across the street, as he expressed it, “for your own safety”.
