Australia Federal Court has rejected CSR’s demerger plan, which would have seen the company’ splitting its sugar and building materials businesses, based on the uncertainty that the company would face when future asbestos-related claims. The demerger would have created Sucrogen comprising the company’s sugar and renewable energy segments.
