Valentine's Day means flower sales, but at the moment there is little love between the auction giant FloraHolland (over 20 million flowers and plants in daily sales!) and the two unions representing the company's thousands of workers, CNV Dienstenbond and FNV Bondgenoten. Following a February 6 warning strike, the unions launched an indefinite strike on the evening of February 9 and are asking for support.  SEND A MESSAGE TO FLORAHOLLAND!

Workers at the company have been fighting in vain since last year for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement and a social plan that addresses the needs of hundreds of workers who are losing their jobs and others who will be transferred to new locations in a major restructuring.

Negotiations on both contentious issues have reached deadlock. The earlier warning strike failed to change the company's stance. Workers launched an indefinite strike on February 9 following yet another failed negotiation. They've asked for your support - SEND A MESSAGE to FloraHolland in support of the union's demands.
