Dairy Division Leadership Group holds conference call

The Dairy Division Leadership Group held a conference call on 12 February to discuss the branding and publicity for a global organising initiative 'A Fair Deal For Dairy Workers. Universal rights for dairy workers, as they are for all workers, include the right to join a union and bargain collectively, the right to permanent and decent work, the right to a fair wage and good conditions at work, the right to a safe and healthy workplace and the right to be free of discrimination in the workplace. Participants in the conference call also heard about organising initiatives within major companies in North America, Europe and Australasia. Useful suggestions were made to enhance the publicity and soon dairy workers being organised will be hearing the same message about why they should join their union and link with other workers around the world.
