The IUF recently reported on the UFCW campaign on behalf of Jen Pulaski, dismissed by Hormel as a result of her activities as a union shop steward. Go here to read the story and send an urgent message to the company.

The IUF Danish affiliate NNF expressed solidarity with Jen and the UFCW by publicizing her case to members and requesting that Danish company Tulip, owned by Danish Crown, protest to Hormel about the dismissal of a union activist. Tulip manufactures Spam products for Hormel.

Tulip espouses  its corporate social responsibility around the world on its homepage but evidently this does not apply to its relationship with Hormel. Food safety standards apply throughout the supply chain but apparently human rights standards do not.

The fight on behalf of Jen Pulaski continues and the UFCW has expressed its appreciation for the solidarity shown by Danish workers.
