Housekeepers around the world speak out in new IUF video

The hospitality business relies upon the labour of hundreds of thousands of housekeepers around the world, most of them women, many of them vulnerable migrants. They are the unseen victims of working conditions which stealthily and silently destroy their health. Many are forced to prematurely exit the labour market with broken bodies, condemned to poverty. In 2012, the IUF launched a global "Make my Workplace Safe" campaign to demand better working conditions with rights and dignity.

In a new video filmed during the IUF Global Week of Action from December 3 to 10, 2014, housekeepers around the world share their experiences, concerns and hopes and express their solidarity - CLICK HERE to view it.

The video is also available in French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian.
