New national agreement brings gains for hotel workers in Israel

A new 4-year agreement between the national center the Histadrut, representatives for the sector and the Israel Hotel Association brings important gains for some 40,000 workers in the country's important tourism industry. Covering all workers employed in hotels, from room cleaners to food workers, maintenance, logistics and administration workers, includes a 7.25% salary increase in increments over the length of the agreement, an increase in the seniority increment to benefit senior workers and improvements in the welfare contribution and vocational training.
