A new national agreement for Italian tourism workers to maintain social benefit and job security

On February 9, IUF affiliates Filcams Cgil, Fisascat Cisl and Uiltucs Uil signed the new national agreement for over one million employees of fast food, catering, bar and restaurant sectors. The signing comes four and a half years after its expiration date during which workers have held demonstration and strikes in support or their demands.

The new agreement also includes a new protocol against sexual harassment in workplaces and improved language on public procurement in the catering sector.
