The hotel owner continues to defy the workers, court orders and a decade-old decision of the ILO.

On February 13 hotel workers, union leaders, human rights, social and political activists and NGOs took to the streets of Karachi in a mass rally to highlight their demands and emphasize their determination to continue struggling for the government to implement the decisions of the ILO and their own judiciary no matter how long it takes. Last year, union members demanding implementation of the latest court-ordered reinstatements were beaten by police and subjected to mass arrest.
