After fighting for several years for the same benefits as other Nestlé workers in Switzerland, IUF-affiliated UNIA and its union committee at Henniez (Nestlé Waters) have signed an agreement with Nestlé Waters on employer contributions to workers’ health insurance premiums.

The new collective bargaining agreement covers 240 workers and includes the following benefits:

  • employer contributions to health insurance costs will be phased in over the next three years and by January 1, 2023 will be CHF 235 per month
  • all employees active on the Henniez sites in Broye vaudoise and on the Cristalp site in Saxon in Valais will receive this benefit
  • maternity leave will increase from 16 to 18 weeks paid at 100% and new fathers will receive 4 weeks paid parental leave
