Protest and solidarity action at the Nestlé European Works Council meeting

At the meeting on 25 June, delegates presented Nestlé European management with a “nest” full of lemons in solidarity with workers who are being squeezed for juicier profits.

Nestlé has recently announced the closure of 2 sites in Germany and job cuts at 2 other sites, amounting to almost 400 job losses.

Delegates also expressed solidarity with workers at Nespresso coffee factories in Switzerland facing deteriorating working conditions.
